*Position: **ETL DataStage Developer* *Location: **Chicago, IL.* *Duration: **8**+ Months contract plus extension*
*Interview mode: Phone than WebExJob Description: *This is a contract with a leading healthcare insurance company. This person is responsible for all tasks involved in extracting, transforming and loading data into the warehouse. The ETL Developer will focus on designing and integrating the ETL components and resolving data centric issues and must be able to assist in the data analysis efforts necessary to resolve the data issues encountered. Additional functional responsibilities shall include: *Source and target analysis *Design and develop automated ETL processes *Monitor load process to ensure accurate data feeds *Ensure that the ETL requirements are adequately understood and documented *Design the ETL application architecture based on the documented requirements *Perform QA functions for the ETL application, including ensuring that system and integration test plans are developed and executed *Develop detailed ETL specifications based on business requirements *Develop and test the ETL application following all ETL standards and architecture *Assist in the design of the ETL application Deliverables *Design, development and support of the ETL Project and implementation.Provide performance analysis to resolve performance issues. Resources will be expected to perform the following activities: *Provide Technical document to implement the ETL enhancements or productions defects and recommend solution for performance improvement. Requirements *5 years of development and architecting ETL solutions using Data Stage *This position also requires some working with Java (10%-20%) *Good understanding of dimensional modelling is required. *Healthcare experience and related business knowledge is preferred.
