*Local Candidates Only.* *Rate: $60/hr on c2c all incl.* *Duration: Contract for 5 months then possible extension* The functional role within the Sr. Security Engineering group is to lead the Security team as the Host Security lead in the analysis and risk assessment process of repository of servers through best practices and in accordance with global ISEC security policies. Ensure the safety of information System assets by developing and managing technical controls that protect threats to information security. This position's assesses all host and infrastructure related security aspects. Also, as the Sr. Security Engineer helps to define the security requirements to architect a secured solution which meet both the business requirements and technical policies and standards. Additionally, this role is also required to lead some of the Security Risk Assessments. - Security Assessment on Windows (2008, 2003, 7), Unix (Solaris, Redhat), 8i Database (MS SQL, Sybase, Oracle) - Security vulnerability patch Assessment and Management on Windows, Unix, DB & 3rd parties apps such as Adobe, Java, etc. - Responsible for validating the servers/maintaining Windows and UNIX. - Person should have some knowledge in database MS SQL and hands on Unix support needed - Configuration on Windows & Unix server and database using various security such as vulnerability scanner, SIEM solution - Requirement: In-depth knowledge & hands-on experience on Windows 2008 & 7 security policy and Unix (Solaris, Redhat); Working knowledge on security aspects of DB - AV activity monitoring, assessment/remediation of malware infections, & reporting - Hands on platform experience and know security parameters. - This person is going to oversee and monitor their anti-virus. The anti-virus they use is: Sophos, Secure front and Symantec. Know policy settings/do assessments, remediation and reports.
