*Windows Server Administrator** for a contract role in the west Minneapolis metro area to work on upgrading windows servers to 2012.*
*Rate: $50/hr on c2c all incl.* This consultant will be coming in to help *automate build processes* and other tasks being currently ran manually. Must have the drive to help *automate* and to eliminate tasks being run manually. Must have experience with custom in-house, build work environment. Tasks: -Work with the team to generate a consistent server build for 2012 -Upgrade *windows 2003* servers to 2012 -Upgrade *windows 2008* servers to 2012 -Identify systems that cannot be upgraded due to application limitations and apply patches -Document configurations on the systems -Other tasks as identified Skills: -5+ years experience in a *Microsoft Windows Server* environment -Proven competency with most Windows commands/utilities. -Experience with an enterprise class *virtualization* system (must have) -Experience with Active Directory (secondary) -Experience with *Group Policy* (must have) -System *installation and configuration *experience such as System Center Configuration -Manager (*SCCM*) or *Linux equivalents* -Experience using various monitoring tools -Familiarity with SAN, NAS and other storage technologies (secondary- knowledgeable) -Familiarity with *EMC*. -Ability to work successfully both independently and in teams -Experience with Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 -Excellent *technical documentation* creation experience -Good verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical internal customers -*PowerShell*- *Scripting* (Must have 2-3 years experience) -Some experience/exposure to *IIS* - *Internet Information Services* (1-2 years) -- Regards *Mayank Sharma* Technical Recruiter Sage Group Consulting Inc.
