Please note this is a Contract-to-Hire position; we encourage qualified candidates authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship to apply. *Responsibilities as a QA Tester include:* * Planning, creating, and documenting test cases for software applications, services, and processes. * Planning, coding, executing, and documenting automated test scripts for software applications, services, and processes. * Working closely with business system analysis and development resources. * Assisting with scheduling estimates, timelines, and milestones. * Contributing to the design and evolution of the company's QA processes. * Executing different types of tests on Web-based products. * Identifying issues, generating issue reports, and reproducing customer-reported issues. * Assisting developers with issue analysis. * Maintaining regular attendance, and adhering to company & I.S. policies and procedures. *Requirements:* * Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any relevant major. * *6 or more years of relevant software design, development, and testing experience.* * Thorough knowledge and understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks. * Experience testing complex software applications, services, and processes; both web-based & desktop Windows based systems. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ** Experience testing Web services (XML/REST/SOAP).* ** Must have experience with TestComplete or an equivalent automation tool and Transact SQL. * Prefer experience with C#, VB, HTML, ColdFusion, JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, XML, CSS, and SoapUI.* * Experience working with popular Web browsers (IE, FF, Chrome, Safari) * Insurance or financial industry experience is preferred.
