*WebSphere AdminLocation: Tampa, FL* *Duration: 6+* *Interview mode: Phone then Skype* *Responsibilities* *•This position reports to the Director of System Engineering and is responsible for administering the IBM WebSphere Message Queue(WMQ) and Message Broker (WMB) * software preferably in an z/VM – RHEL (Red Hat) environment *•Installation, configuration and maintenance of WMQ/WMB software * *•WMQ – create, start, stop, delete, etc. Queue Managers, Queues and Channels in a clustered and non-clustered environment for all levels of system integration from development to production * *•WMQ/WMB – Administer security as appropriate for each application and environment * *•WMQ/WMB – Install/Deploy Tivoli application specific monitoring agents on each instance of the software* •WMB - create, start, stop, delete, etc. Brokers for all levels of system integration from development to production •Proficient in WMQ/WMB Explorer to perform deployments, configuration, etc. •Perform tuning as necessary to ensure optimum performance •Provide guidance and assistance to the programming and technical staff relating to the MQ/MB environment •Assist the Directory of System Engineering in investigating new computing technology and future growth as it pertains to WMQ/WMB/WAS environment *•Assist in administration of WebSphere Application Server (WAS)* •Participate in a support role on a rotational basis *Job Knowledge and Expertise* *•Expert understanding of WebSphere MQ/MB technologies including clustering* •Proficiency in integration and messaging techniques •Strong knowledge of SQL in DB-z/OS and DB2/LUW environment •*Strong knowledge of WebSphere Transformation Extender (TWX) * *•Strong knowledge of TCP/IP problem resolution as it relates to MQ/MB* •Familiarity with WMB Toolkit functionality *•Prefer experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS)* •Works efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce high quality material with meticulous attention to detail. •Strong customer service orientation in both internal and external interactions, and looks for opportunities to provide the highest quality service. •Evaluates and documents procedures and configurations •Anticipates, recognizes and resolves issues •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Strong organizing and analytical skills •High degree of creative thinking •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment *Minimum Education & Experience * *•Bachelors degree preferred* *•3-5 years enterprise experience with WMQ/WMB* •Ability to manage multiple projects •Excellent communication and organizational skills •Capable of working independently towards a goal rather than just following instructions.
