*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

   - Establish a regular communication process with stakeholders to review 
   and schedule changes based on priority and business needs.
   - Coordinate *release* schedules by communicating with project managers, 
   developers, database administrators, and QA analysts to minimize code 
   conflicts and increase efficient use of personnel.
   - Publish and maintain software *build* calendar to clarify content of 
   each *release* within the IT department.
   - Identify and implement appropriate risk management initiatives to 
   manage production changes
   - Develop and enforce best practices in change and *release* management
   - Promote continuous learning and define process to address opportunity 
   areas. Partner closely with QA and Development teams to identify areas of 
   improvement.
   - Measure the effectiveness of the software *build* and deployment 
   process through metric driven success criteria
   - Define and participate in process improvement implementation including 
   automation of *build* and *release* steps
   - Execute *build* process to produce new releases for Development, QA, 
   or Production deployment

*QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:*

   - 4 or more years of professional experience in *Build* and *Release* 
   engineering, Java development, product development or testing with a 
   willingness to learn/excel in *build* and *release*
   - 7+ years of experience in Configuration, *Build* and *Release* 
   engineering
   - BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline 
   or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus
   - Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, SCM practices 
   along with Change, Software *Build* and *Release* Management 
   methodologies
   - Expert understanding of merging, branching, versioning, labeling and 
   managing the *release* of production code
   - Experience with SVN software configuration management and similar tools
   - Experience developing and maintaining ANT, Maven, Shell *build* scripts
   - Proficiency in one or more scripting languages - Python, jython, bash, 
   csh, WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST)
   - Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous

monitoring, performance tuning, maintenance, documentation, and assisting 
other technical staff with tasks related to *WebLogic* servers.

*ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND DUTIES:*   

   - 3+ years experience with *WebLogic*
   - 5+ years experience with Oracle j2ee technology


   - J2EE Administration supporting multiple environments.
