Please find the requirement below and let me know your interest.. *POSITION* *SQL Server DBA* *Baltimore, MD* *6+months* *$44 per hour. * *Job Description * I have an urgent need for a SQL Server DBA in Baltimore MD. They need at least 11 years of experience. *Position Description: * This position will be responsible for: • Administration of databases throughout the development and production lifecycles. • Design and develop logical and physical database designs from customer requirements. • Administration tasks for several SQL server databases. • provide advice and support to development resources. • Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures. • Supporting the standing standards, policies and procedures of the customer team. • Provide mentorship to group members and will be expected to help develop and support mid and junior level staff. • May be scheduled for after hours on-call support and will be required to apply production packages during non-peak hours. • The implementation of replication, virtualization, and ETL tasks. • The selected candidate will accept other duties as directed by management Skills Requirements: SQL Server 2008, and 2012 including: - DBA experience (strong experience required) - database design and implementation - database performance tuning - application performance tuning - troubleshooting and debugging - backup and recovery Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to independently research problems and provide solutions. Knowledge of NIST Database Guidelines Desired: NOSQL/Big Data experience Work with very large data stores. Application development experience. Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years of professional experience; or 9 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
