*Interview mode: Phone than Skype.* *Job Description:*•Language competency Strong background in PERL ◦ Strong background in Oracle SQL ◦ Some experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS • Source code management: Strong background in at least one of the following ◦ CVS ◦ SVN ◦ Git/GitHub (preferred) • Make/build scripts: Strong background in at GNU make. • Linux and command line experience: ◦ Use of VIM / View or emacs ◦ Ability to read/understand crontab entries ◦ Familiarity with the bash shell and standard shell commands, such as; ls, rm, grep, find, diff, ssh, scp and rsync • Strong verbal and communication skills • Experience working with distributed teams and multiple projects. *The necessary tasks include, but are not limited to:* •Analyzing applications for nature of database changes. ◦ Work with ESUP team on nature of changes (warehouse changes) ◦ Work with PeopleSoft developers on nature of changes (PeopleSoft changes) ◦ Work with business partners to confirm new data logic ◦ Document all of above •Reviewing analysis with OIT AppDev Staff •Determining what work is needed to implement changes, and document. •Implementing data changes ◦update and test SQL queries ◦implement SQL queries in codebase as needed. •Reviewing code changes with OIT AppDev staff •Using unit/functional tests for changes •Troubleshooting issues using Apache, Tomcat and application logs •Tagging/releasing applications •Creating documentation on topics such as ◦Set up work required on application ◦Work done to correct queries and application ◦How to migrate, if not already in existence •Reviewing documentation with OIT AppDev staff.
