Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science or MIS preferred or relevant work experience in business system
applications or related field.
Experience in analysis sessions with the user community to capture data
requirements clearly, completely and correctly and translating business
requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data models in complex,
multi-application environments.
5+ years’ experience implementing operational and dimensional logical and
physical design for Data Marts, Data Warehouse and Business intelligence,
integrating physical data models and data model standards that source data
from multiple origins (internal data sources, external data sources, third
party data, etc.).
Understanding of Business Intelligence solutions, strong knowledge of
relational and multi-dimensional database architectures, database lifecycle
design and applicaion development.

Deep familiarity with Oracle database technologies (9i, 10g & 11g).

3+ years’ experience with PowerDesigner (v12.5 or v.15 preferred).

Excellent data analysis skills using SQL via SQL*Plus or TOAD. Ability to
read PL/SQL, to develop detailed mapping documents that will provide the
data warehouse reporting and ETL teams with source to target data mapping
which will include logical names, physical names, data types, corporate
meta-data definitions, and translation rules.

Experience in Data analysis/profiling using SQL and/or PL/SQL, identifying
and documenting data integration issues, challenges such as duplicate data,
non-conformed data, and unclean data.

Ability to work with team members to design and maintain a corporate data
architecture that will allow the data warehouse to evolve with the
business.

Experience in delivering quality work on time with multiple, competing
priorities.

Excellent oral/written communication skills, a dedication to customer
satisfaction and a team player attitude is essential to the success in this
role.


.The Medical Products IT Information Services team is seeking a Sr Business
Systems Analyst to address significant business needs in support of the MP
Business Applications functionality, Analytical and Operational reporting
needs through the analysis, development and delivery of high-quality data
architecture, database and reporting solutions.
.The candidate will be required to work with business users to understand
business requirements and translate them into the data requirements and
system technical specifications.
.The candidate will perform the full spectrum of the Data Architect duties
through the SDLC of a data project, including data analysis, data modeling,
producing ETL specifications, constructing and running the DDL, test case
development and execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Own small/medium size projects,
demonstrate strong business knowledge, require limited direction, give
moderate guidance to others, handle complex problems and possess a strong
knowledge of SDLC.
1) Understand and translate business objectives, specifications into
functional and technical specifications on small/medium size projects
2) Design logical and physical data models based on user and system
requirements
3) Create technical specifications documents and design process diagrams
4) Develop effective functional specifications for data acquisition,
transformation and load processes, and reporting
5) Develop source to target mapping documents
6) Conduct model reviews and participate in the database technical design
7) Develop, and execute ETL unit/system test cases, scripts and plans.
Facilitate testing activities within the team.
8) Support Applications/DW/BI Team during functional, UAT, regression, and
performance testing
9) Define and resolve data quality issues.
10) Understand and follow appropriate SDLC, quality validation processes
and application processes.
11) Communicate status, solutions and concerns. Disseminate information in
a timely manner within the team and across functions. Establish and
maintain relationships within the business or function.
