Please find the requirement below and let me know your interest.. *POSITION* *SQL DBA * *SACRAMENTO,CA (LOCALS ONLY)* *6 MONTHS +* *PHONE & F2F* *$55-60/HR* *CLIENT :: **VSP/Eyefinity* *Job Description:* With minimal supervision, install and maintain database management systems (DBMS) and related software; provide support for integrated databases and information systems development, implementation and operational support to business partner staff; perform and assist with database software design, architecture, automation, and implementation projects. *Essential Functions* · Assist the development teams with analyzing business partner data requirements and translate the requirements into a physical database design · Perform application database file installation and maintenance · Perform database architecture functions · Create and maintain all the physical database descriptions and components in the data dictionary · Create and maintain the data access programs (DMLI - applicable to IDMS only) · Perform DBMS software installation, maintenance, documentation and problem resolution · Provide database testing environment including training facilities, and test database restorations · Perform migration of DBMS application components between test and production environments · Coordinate with other departments for DBMS problem resolution *Job Requirements:* Some key needs for us are database architectural experience and db scaling (horizontal/vertical) experience for an application hosted in the cloud. · Five years of progressively responsible experience as an Applications Programmer · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience · Expertise in systems analysis methods and procedures · Familiarity with Windows NT and LAN technology · Familiarity with data structures such as relational databases, VSAM , IDMS, SQL Server (required), Microsoft Access Knowledge of project management techniques and tools · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills · Focus on database design, support and administration of databases for a specific application.
