*Sr. ORACLE / SQL Server DBA (3 openings)*

*Tallahassee, FL*

*6+ months*

*Max rate: $65hr*



*Candidates must have 8+ years of experience as a DBA and have at least 3+
years of recent experience with both Oracle and SQL Server Databases.  Must
have experience migrating databases from Oracle to SQL Server.*



Project: Oracle – SQL Server database migration to include: • Migration
analysis • Migration plan • Migration tests • SQL Server installation • SQL
Server configuration



Seeking a Database Administrator with the following minimum qualifications,
must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks:

 • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Information Systems or other related field; or equivalent work experience

•8+ years of DBA experience and 3+ years of experience administering Oracle
10g/11g databases

• 3+ years of experience administering SQL Server 2008/2012 databases

• 3+ years of experience with database migration from oracle platform to
SQL Server platform

• Experience in writing, testing and executing PL-SQL

• Experience in writing, testing and executing T-SQL

• Experience with IBM DataStage preferred

• Experience with SAS Data Integration studio preferred

• Experience producing technical documentation related to the requirements,
specifications, design, testing, and operations

• Experience executing test plans and managing debugging process

• Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings

• Experience facilitating technical sessions, webinars, interviews, or
other meetings

 • Candidate must be a team player with excellent verbal, presentation, and
written communication skills Responsibilities/Deliverables: The Database
Administrator will be responsible for the following:

• Requirements specifications, including but not limited to user
requirements, migration plan review, database analysis review and analysis
of effort required to implement requested tasks

• Design documents, including but not limited to database architecture
diagrams, interface specifications, network topology diagrams, security
models, etc.

• Technical Specifications

• Test Plans

• Test Cases

• Test Data

• Knowledge transfer/training of operations staff

• Training/support materials

• Operations Guides

• Any documents or clarifications as required for state and federal
approvals

• Periodic status reports detailing accomplishments, issues, and tasks in
progress Evidence of Completion: Migration analysis documentation including
SSMA test results and remediation plan Completed and approved migration
plan Successful database migration to test and production environments
