Experience in web servers like BEA Web Logic, GlassFish, IBM Web Sphere, Tomcat and JBoss. Experience in HTML, XML, XSLT, XPATH, XSL, SAX, DOM, AJAX, JavaScript. Experience using RDMS such as Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL and DB tools TOAD and PL/SQL Developer *Responsibilities:* This individual will be responsible for design, development, testing and deployment of airline applications supporting the Security, Safety and Compliance department at Delta Air Lines. The candidate must have good communications skills, be able to work well with others, be able to multi task, and understand the airline business. Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of applications. *Essential Responsibilities: * • Understand business requirements in order to provide the technical design of computer software. • Possess programming expertise in standard programming languages in order to develop and maintain computer software. • Develop appropriate software and documentation according to Delta's standards. • Support and troubleshoot computer systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems. • Follow standards and methodologies in the development and implementation of computer software. *May perform other duties as assigned. *Basic Entry Requirements:* • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems development field. Previous airline experience ideal. • Ability to work within a team environment. • Experience building computer software within the Airline business a plus.
