Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title* Penetration tester *Project Location* Eagan, MN *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI-Telephonic+Skype* What are the daily responsibilities / expectations of this resource? • Conduct formal both automated and manual penetration tests using approved standard methodologies to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in applications owned by Legal Technology. • Assess security controls for large enterprise systems and applications, and hosting infrastructure. • Evaluate configurations and implementations of firewalls, proxy servers, routers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), IDS / IPS, wireless networks, etc. against legal requirements, organization’s local policy, industry best practices. • Conduct security system engineering based on industry best practices and common frameworks. • Document technical and logical security findings identified during the security assessments, and report them in a timely manner. • Provide consultative support with implementation of remediation steps, standards, and best practices. • Contribute to the strategy or plans to protect, monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to network attacks, intrusions, or other unauthorized activity that would compromise information systems and networks. • Collaborate and share knowledge with team members via formal and informal methods on a regular basis. • Perform additional incidental duties as assigned by management or job responsibilities. What technical / soft skills are necessary to perform this job (years of experience)? 1. 5+ years’ experience in both manual and automation of penetration testing on web applications is an absolute must! 2. Good knowledge of network and security technologies such as TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, LAN/WAN, routing and switching. 3. Working knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies. What skills would be nice-to-have for this job (i.e. additional technologies, presentation skills, etc…)? 1. Possess Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification or equivalent. 2. Familiar with various security testing tools. 3. Experience to train/mentor others in penetration testing.
