Job Description: *OVERALL SUMMARY:* The Media Software Architecture group designs, builds, deploys and supports software solutions that implement digital media workflows and pipelines in support of acquisition, evaluation and management of mezzanine-level digital media assets received from theatrical studios and post-production facilities for broadcast and non-linear distribution channels. *POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES*: The Development Operations Engineer will support the development team responsible for supporting digital media workflow and automation solutions and post-production operations, editorial environments and mezzanine-level asset management systems. · Work with Amazon AWS Cloud infrastructure - especially with the following services VPC, EC2, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CodeDeploy, EC2 Container Services, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, SES, SQS, SNS and Route 53. · Automate AWS resources using Chef and Python. · Setup and maintain infrastructure used by MSA software development team. · Systems and software related to development operations and applications developed by the team. Create and Maintain testing and production environments for the applications. · Environment includes but not limited to following Java/JEE applications, JBoss, NodeJS, MongoDB, Oracle DB, Python, Apache, Linux, Storage systems, code repositories, continuous integration systems, etc. · Create and maintain documentation in relation to infrastructure and processes associated with setup, configuration, upgrade, integration of software and systems related to the team. · Deployment and rollout of software applications. Design and develop automations and processes to streamline software setup and deployment processes. · Research techniques and tools to facilitate development operations. · Monitor and measure production applications to check for any bottle necks or issues around system setup, network availability, application performance and advice the team on solutions. *REQUIREMENTS* 5+ years of experience in software development operations role. 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS is a must. · Experience with build management, functional testing, load-testing and application deployment. And building automations around them. · Understanding and experience with Monitoring, Logging and Alerting Architectures. · Experience in Configuration management and Server Provisioning. · Working knowledge of Unix/Linux. · Experience in supporting applications based on J2EE, NodeJS, MongoDB, etc. · Working knowledge of Bash and other scripting languages. · Knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/UDP/etc.) · BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other equivalent technical degree..
