*Job Title: Test Automation Engineer* *Duration: 6-8 months* *Extension possible: Yes* *# of Positions: 1* *Position Type: Contract * *Location: New York, NY* *Required Years of Exp: 4-5 Yrs* *Rate : $48/hr on C2C (All Inclusive)* *Detailed JD:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 4-5 years of experience in unit testing, system integration testing, web application testing. - Strong hands-on knowledge of java script based test and assertion frameworks such as Chai, Mocha and Sinon. - Experience in creating automation frameworks and test harnesses using open source technologies with Selenium web driver. - Working knowledge of TDD and BDD is required. Should be familiar with Gherkin. - Scripting experience in Java script and Java. - Strong knowledge of advanced software repositories (Git, SVN). - Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Cross browser testing experience a plus. - API Testing Experience (REST based) is desirable. - Familiarity with the following are a plus: Experience of testing Web UIs using JavaScript and technologies such as CSS, jQuery, JSON, Xpath. - Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion. - Able to build strong personal relationships and trust. - A thorough, appropriate and timely communicator. Able to clearly communicate complex technical subjects to business and technology stakeholders. - Knowledgeable in Publishing, Content management Systems, e-commerce, advertising.
