Need to be able to speak between architects and dev Senior Systems Engineer *Description:* Technical Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in networking industry. • B.S (or higher) in computer science or equivalent. • Experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.x - 6.5, Redhat Deployments using Kickstart installations, Redhat Clustering configuration and deployments • Experience with Oracle Linux 5.6 - 6.4 and Oracle RAC cluster technology • Cloud Computing: AWS, VMWare and Openstack • Network bonding and VLAN Trunking • Server platforms: Dell & HP rack and blade systems • Experience with the deployment and management of storage hardware: o 3PAR, EMC, Isilon IQ, iDRAC configuration & management and NetApp NAS appliances o SAN hardware and technologies: EMC/Brocade, SAN Directors, Fibre-Attached storage, iSCSI, RAID levels and best practices • Linux administration to include networking, storage, multipathing configurations • Familiarity with: o NTP, DNS, NFS, Load Balancing o Fiber Channel zoning concepts o Brocade administration, NPIV & Access Gateway Mode o HTTP servers and understanding of content delivery/CDN integration o High Availability and Scalability Technology: Brocade Load Balancers, clustering software, auto-failover, Ethernet bonding Responsibilities Include: • Implement and architect server/systems infrastructure in a large 24x7 environment. • Be able to implement from design diagrams a highly available and scalable system infrastructure. Candidate should be able to translate a design concept into a working diagram highlighting individual hardware/software components required to integrate the project into existing infrastructure. • Manage work completion to engineering milestones by ensuring that development, integration, test and production environments are all in sync; implement revision change control • Support and maintain communication and project workflow between development group of architecture and engineering teams and the operations/implementation group. • Experience with and understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Openstack and VMware • Advanced experience with the following VMware concepts: o VMware vRealize Operations Manager o vDistributed Switches o vMotion/Storage vMotion o Able to create, maintain & deploy templates o Create clones & customization profiles o High Availability (HA) & Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) o Host profiles • Install and configure Dell blades chassis and servers (Rack mounted & Blades) Office and Interpersonal Skills • Must be able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented setting. • Candidates should possess excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills and be able to communicate ideas and concepts between different departments. • Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills by seeing a project from engineering design concept to final product deployment. • Must be able to work both independently on projects and cooperatively within a team environment. *Thanks & Rega**rds* *Sr. Technical Resource Specialist* *214-628-5329\ [email protected] <[email protected]>* *1200 W Walnut Hill Ln.
