*Hadoop Administrator*
3-4+ month contract

Candidates must have exceptional communication skills and experience
upgrading and standing up Hadoop ecosystems, specifically with Hadoop 551.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- *(On a daily basis)* As a Hadoop Admin*, *you’ll be mentoring a group
of 8 resources and kelp train these resources within Hadoop
Databases/mentorship.
- *Standing up clusters in Louisville where the information will be
going into a client database*
- *(Business purpose)* This development team is responsible for
developing a consumer web application utilized by 2+ million end-users on a
nationwide scale.
*ENVIRONMENT:*
- *(Direct report)* You will be reporting directly to the Team Lead of
Database engineering. Director of Database Engineering.
- *(Team size)* 8-9 Developers
- *(Company size) *Client has 700+ employees
- *(Hours) *This is a Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM schedule with no chance of
working remotely.
- *(Dress code) *Business casual with jeans permitted on Friday.
- *(Parking) *Free parking lot right attached to the building.
*REQUIREMENTS:*
- *(Overall years of experience) *This requires a seasoned professional
1-3 years utilizing Hadoop within a big environment. Looking for someone
who has been hand-on along with someone who has taught Hadoop development.
- *(Must-have technologies) *You must have experience with Kerberos
security, Cloudera BDA, Impala, Hive, Pig, Oozie.
- *Nice to have Exadata engineering experience.*
- *(Preferred technologies) *Hadoop, Cloudera, Kerberos Security.
- *(Highest degree of education required) *You must have at least a high
school diploma. Associates and Bachelors would be a huge plus.
- *(Certifications required) *There are no required certifications, but
development certifications would be a plus.
- *(Location) *onsite- Cincinnati, OH.
