Role: Security Engineer Location: Cypress, California
Duration: 3 Months Ext *Role Description* With minimal supervision from the head of ISD, the Security Engineer leverages extensive experience in Information Technology and Security to develop strategies and solutions that adapt to changing cyber threats over the long term. The Security Engineer develops architecture, solutions, awareness training, policies and standards and works closely with all levels of I.T. and Business team members to promote secure designs and practices across the company that mitigate risks, meet business objectives and compliance/regulatory requirements. *Qualifications* • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Information Security role with responsibilities in assessing application and infrastructure architectures for security threats and vulnerabilities required. • Professional security management certification, such as a ISC(2) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), SANS GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), GIAC-Security Expert (GSE), or GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender ( GCED ) highly preferred • Knowledge and experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 17799/27001 and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (CobiT) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks highly preferred • Hands-on experience with security infrastructures (e.g. Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, Web Content Filters, Proxies, DLP, SIEM, Log aggregation correlation technologies) required • Expertise with enterprise identity and namespace services (e.g. Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, Oauth, SAML) highly desirable • Expertise with enterprise certificate management and PKI services required • Familiarity with U.S. data privacy regulations and best practices required • Familiarity with security-specific architecture methodology (e.g. SABSA) preferred • Familiarity with a relevant enterprise architecture methodology (e.g. Zachman Framework, TOGAF) preferred • Candidate should have strong hands-on technical background, and be able to demonstrate operational, architectural and security understanding at all layers of the OSI stack • Candidate must be highly collaborative, and is expected to partner and mentor effectively with other teams and team members on an ongoing basis • Strong conceptual thinking and communication skills - the ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into effective solutions. • Understanding of cloud security concepts (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), mobile architecture, network and application security and/or data protection highly desired • Proficiency in policy writing. • Some experience with SOX (or J-SOX) preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office toolsets and other applications like Visio and Project • High School Diploma/GED required • Bachelor’s Degree highly desirable *Thanks and Regards,* *Manu Priya* *Sr. Technical Recruiter* *IDC Technologies* *1851 McCarthy Boulevard, Suite 116|Milpitas, CA , USA, 95035* *408-459-5794 [Direct] I **manu.pr...@idctechnologies.com* <manu.pr...@idctechnologies.com> *www.idctechnologies.com* <http://www.idctechnologies.com/> *Note: **Due to high volume of calls, I may miss your call, email is the better way to reach me.* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Resource Center" group.
