Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, designing and implementing information systems.
Performs encoding, testing, debugging and installation activities as
necessary. Works with organizational end users to clarify current operating
procedures and communicate program objectives. Relies on limited knowledge
and professional discretion to achieve goals.



1.       What group will this be supporting?
This will be supporting the Systems Analysis group within IT department.
The Systems Analyst will be leading various IT resources across functional
areas including development, QA, network, infrastructure etc.

2.       Is there a certain project this person will be working on?
There are various small to large projects the person will work on.

3.       What technologies does this candidate need to have? (Development -
.Net, Java, Share point) or Database (SQL, Oracle)
Primarily Microsoft technologies – able to read .net code, write SQL
queries etc.  Also, should have overall understanding of development
methodologies.

4.       Will this person be doing any coding or just have to know how to
work with existing code?
No coding required. Need to be able to read .net code. Need to be able to
write SQL queries.

5.       Also, how soon will this position begin?  When do you plan on
interviewing candidates?  What is the interview process?
As soon as we find right candidate. Interviews start immediately. Interview
process include multiple on-site interviews and possibly a phone screen.





Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•             Defines application problem by conferring with clients;

workflow solutions.

•             Controls solution by establishing specifications;
coordinating production with programmers.

•             Validates results by testing programs.

•             Ensures operation by training client personnel; providing
support.

•             Provides reference by writing documentation.

•             Updates job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal
networks; participating in professional organizations.

•             Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by
completing related results as needed.

•             Determines operational objectives by studying business
functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and
formats.

•             Designs new computer programs by analyzing requirements;
constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities;
writing specifications.

•             Improves systems by studying current practices; designing
modifications.

•             Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved
procedures.

•             Defines project requirements by identifying project
milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing
project budget.

•             Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving
problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

•             Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.

•             Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user
documentation; providing help desk support; training users.

•             Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping
information confidential.

•             Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and
summarizing information and trends.

•             Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing
personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating
in professional societies.

•             Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results
as needed.

Qualifications:

•             High School Diploma required.  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Science, Business Administration or related field preferred.

•             Five (5) plus years as software developer/engineer or
programmer/analyst, healthcare setting is a strong plus.

•             Excellent communication skills – verbal and written working
knowledge of most PC based software applications – Microsoft Office,
E-mail, etc.

•             Ability to research, understand and support various software
products.
