6 Months Contract We need a good QA person with tons of Web Service, SQL, and Automated Testing experience. *JOB DESCRIPTION and PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES* * Review Project Requirements and Deliverables. * Works with project team to define and create overall testing strategy and ensures that it is being achieved. * Communicates the test strategy to the Development Manager, Scrum Master, and Dev Team. * Define test process including required test activities and deliverables. * Review Logical and Physical designs with Enterprise, Solution and Data Architects, and Dev Team. * Creates overall Quality Plans (including Test Cases, etc.). * Ensures traceability of test cases back to project requirements. * Participate in walkthrough of test cases. * Create Automated Test Cases (Manual when applicable). * Identifies test resources, estimates test effort and defines test schedule and milestones. * Ensures technical resources are organized for effective support of testing. * Oversees all testing and testing related activities. * Ensures all testing standards are being met. * Serves as an escalation point for issues involving testing. * Serves as a resource and communication point for decisions about test schedule changes. * Conduct Test and Product Readiness Assessment. * Participate in defect reviews. * Collaborate with other departments in creating Test Completion Report for promotion recommendation. * Provides Weekly QA Quality Report that includes testing metrics. * Follows all testing standards, processes and procedures. * Establishes and maintains performance testing guidelines for both manual and automated testing. * Responsible for working directly with Solution Architect with helping determine application performance requirements (e.g. response time, load testing, etc.). * Conduct and participate in code reviews and verifying code review processes are followed. * Performs load, stress, and performance testing and analyzes results. * Provides performance and usage reports. * Execute test cases and report, track and prioritize issues. * Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. * Participate in the definition of quality assurance business processes. * Participate in the selection of quality assurance tools. *Required Qualifications* * 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance and functional testing. * Comfortable with navigating and certifying data from a non-visual perspective. * Experience with automated functional and performance testing tools. * 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server including writing SQL queries, MS Access. * Experience with testing web-based and database applications. * Experience with testing RESTful Web Services. * Experience with version control and defect tracking tools. * Experience championing quality assurance standards. * Experience in IT process improvement and various IT QA standards and best-practices. * Proficient in Word, Excel, Windows‐based applications and internet usage. * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical, presentation and reporting skills. * Must be able to perform work effectively in a fast‐paced environment and handle multiple tasks and demands simultaneously. * Must be able to work independently in a time critical environment and as part of a team on special and ongoing projects. * Must be flexible to quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes. *Preferred Qualifications* * Project management experience. * Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS). * Experience with testing mobile applications. * Experience with Agile (Scrum) development methodology. * Experience with automotive data. * Certifications in Quality Assurance. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business plus 2‐3 years related work experience in IT QA compliance, manual software testing, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
