*Position: **Cloud Strategist and Architect* *Location: Denver, Colorado* *Contract: Long Time Contract.* *Exp: 12+* Cloud Strategist & Architect JD Responsible for overseeing cloud computing strategy and application migration from legacy to public or private cloud. Should be capable of doing cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring, oversee application architecture and deployment in cloud environments -- including public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud. • Provide thought leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development of cloud adoption, data architecture and ongoing refinement activities in coordination with the business, application, technology and solution architectures. • Define roadmap for migrating applications from legacy systems to cloud environment seamlessly. • Strong technical background in in the areas of data, application or technical architecture design, planning and implementation experience helping clients through collaborative style to establish new or modified technical environments • Experience in datacenter Transformation, Custom Applications, Security, Compliance and Privacy. • Lead through collaboration and individual contribution, work with client, functional and technical personnel to gather, manage, model and document the detailed data requirements for big data solutions on cloud platform like AWS, Azure, Bluemix, Google etc. • Responsible for helping design the operational data store/warehouse and logical data model especially in Telecom network domain. Assist in the identification and analysis of enterprise and organizational units' business drivers to develop enterprise information architecture requirements. • Develop & guide in standards and methodologies for benchmarking, performance, evaluation, testing, data security and data privacy • Recommend and set goals for unified Infrastructure design, setup, implementation, provenance management, governance, stewardship, asset lifecycle management, defining and managing SLAs • Provide recommendations, technical direction and leadership in new technologies such as Hadoop and NoSQL technologies as part of the overall architecture • Develop and manage detailed migration and roll-out plan address business and technology decisions through facilitated decision-making of the proposed architecture and market analysis of available technologies • Interacting with the business and technical architects to capture the requirements for performance, security • Perform impact analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning for infrastucture assets. • Understand the Big data hadoop platform architecture and translate the requirements in the low level designs and details workable packets • Hands-on experience on setting up cloud platform components and managing • Experience in AWS, Azure, Hadoop (hortonworks), Netezza, Teradata, Pentaho, SQL, Kafka, Python, Hive, HQL and other big data related technologies • Experience in Software design or development, Application Design, Systems Operations / Management, Database architecture, Virtualization, IP Networking, Storage, IT Security, Linux • experience with Open Source Platforms and Open Source development tools and methodologies • Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET, C++, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive • Experience in IaaS, PaaS • 10-12 years of experience in Cloud strategy and architecture -- Thanks and Regards Sunil Kumar *Epik Solutions* | 3478 Buskirk Ave, Pleasant Hill, CA-94523.
