*Urgent requirement Senior PeopleSoft Oracle DBA Consultant Location: Washington,DC Duration: 12 months * *Hourly rate : Open Complete Description: * Database management covering creation of data dictionaries, data models, and performance tuning. The position will support ODC2 Migration project for: PeopleSoft, PASS (Ariba), FileNet, Dc1Card, JCAPS/Egate Enterprise applications Test applications, and HSMP. The individual will be building new database infrastructure for migrating a data center from one location to another. Configure all the databases and support testing thereof. This individual will build the DC government’s PeopleSoft application including Application Server, Process Scheduler server, Web Server and oracle databases in new data center. Candidate must have 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting new Time and labor, eModules, data conversion and performance management modules. Candidate must possess strong background in Oracle 10g database administration specifically RAC, performance tuning and backup and recovery using RMAN. Prior knowledge of Government systems is desirable.Excellent interpersonal skills and prior experience with troubleshooting problems; documenting and reporting back after corrective measures have been taken. Behavior Characteristics:Good communication and presentation skills desirable. Independent and self starter in the realm of trouble shooting. *Required Skills* Oracle Database build on UNIX Oracle Database perf. tuning, DB Changes & tests Oracle Database 10g administration and above PeopleSoft Database Administration Experience Experience with PeopleSoft HCM - v9.0 along with Peopletools 8.49 PeopleSoft implementations with installation on Linux platform Capacity planning for PeopleSoft HR/ Payroll system to support 50k users. Must be able to support PeopleSoft application in a HA Architecture. Experience with RMAN Backup and Recovery Experience with Oracle Data Guard Experience with Oracle RAC * Highly Desired Skills* Experience implementing eRecruit /ess Portal / ELM/ ePerformance Experience with Ariba, Seebeyond, Uc4 job scheduler Experience with data center migration Background Check Required, if selected.
