I need a PHP Developer for my client in Tacoma, WA. The project is 4 months and begins February 14, 2011. Specifically, I'm looking for a Senior Web Developer with expertise designing and building web services using PHP, client’s existing architecture pattern, and one or more common design patterns such as the Strategy Pattern, Singleton Pattern, etc. Must have hands on experience creating and executing unit tests for all web services using PHPUnit. Ability to follow good code management practices using SVN and help the team move toward a Continuous Integration build process, follow emerging security standards and help the team move toward improved Secure Development Lifecycle practices, participate in all Agile Scrum related activities, (e.g., Daily Stand up meeting, Sprint Planning sessions, Product Owner Demos, Retrospective meetings, identify/move tasks on our Kanban board, etc), support and give input to development, test, and production environment setup including monitoring and alerting capabilities and troubleshoot and provide support as web services issues are found in System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and Production. *Required Skills*: Must have strong PHP 5 development experience, Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns experience (Gang of Four - Strategy, Singleton, etc), Web services knowledge, experience and concepts, standard SQL skills, MS SQL Server 2008, XML, XPATH, XSLT, Problem solving, root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills/ability to read syslogs, and version control knowledge and experience *Preferred skills*: Middle-tier/backend programming, Apache 2.2.x, Agile-related (Scrum), Experience with Profiler tools, JIRA, SVN, XMLSpy and SOAP UI/Load UI, Experience with custom canonical message development or common industry standards from OASIS, RosettaNet, ebXML, etc., Experience with Nagios, ELM (SEIM tool from CA), PHP Zend Server, Oracle 10g Database, Oracle PLSQL, and web services security issues and design practices.
