This is Contract opportunity.
Candidate will be responsible for testing PeopleSoft Accounts Payable,
General Ledger, Cost Allocation and Time & Labor through a rigorous testing
process
*Job Description:-*
* To effectively test PeopleSoft Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost
Allocation and Time & Labor through a rigorous testing process
* Candidate must have a strong hands-on testing and QA lead background
PeopleSoft
* Follow rigorous system development life cycle (SDLC), quality and project
management best practices, comply with internal *Sarbanes Oxley* (SOX) and
other processes related to regulatory or compliance requirements, and adhere
to Change Control and Problem Management procedures
* Good understanding of *Accounting *concepts
* Working knowledge of PeopleSoft AP/GL, Cost Allocation and, Time & labor
* Knowledge of People Codes
* Strong Knowledge of *PeopleSoft tools 8.49 *
* Knowledge of integration broker such as *XML Publisher *
* Basic understanding of *JCL *
* Working knowledge of writing *SQL queries *
* Basic understanding or *Oracle DB*
* Basic understanding of *Java and .Net *technologies
* Quality Center proficiency
** Working knowledge in QTP* (e.g.- Test execution using *QTP*)
*Responsibilities:-*
* Completely adept at understanding and executing the details across
multiple operations functions within the end-to-end flow of operations
* Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve
business problems
* Adept at understanding operational nuances across multiple business areas
* Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills;
solid technical and problem solving abilities
* May have involvement with the business during its strategic planning and
budget cycles to leverage knowledge and anticipate technology transformation
potential from a customer perspective; provides buy vs. build
recommendations; assists in platform determination
*Skills Required:-*
* Bachelor*s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science,
Information Systems, or other related field
* Must be capable of managing onsite and offshore QA resources, Test
planning and development
* Ability to translate business requirements into test plans scenarios and
scripts
* Experienced with Report Metrics, Issue resolution, & Strategic planning
* Resource Management Exposure and knowledge of QA Deliverables, Use Case
documents, Business Requirements Documents, Functional design documents FDD,
Technical design docs TDD, Defect tracking and reporting, Status reporting
* Exposure to risk mitigation Tools - Exposure and knowledge of *Mercury
Suite,* Quality Center (a.k.a Test director ), QTP, WinRunner
* PeopleSoft AP/GL Minimum 7 years of QA Lead Experience in *Financial *

*service markets with exposure to one or more of the following:*
o Compliance (application driven business rules)
o Brokerage and trading (investment and insurance products)
o Financial services products General Pluses for this position
o Exposure with Third party vendors
o Experience with data validation testing including SQL skills
o Experience with one or more development methodologies (*water fall , agile
, V-model*)
o Understands how to leverage test management tools, and test automation
tools.
