The contractor will be responsible for development, maintenance and deployment of a customer training and education technology platform. This position requires strong web application development and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Requires the ability to work closely with other developers, taking some work direction from senior members of a small team. Job Responsibilities: a.. Write code that is part of a customer training and education system b.. Gather business requirements and draft application requirements and specification documents to guide development c.. Write code in C# using ASP.NET framework 4, and the MVC3 design pattern d.. Assist in creating and modifying SSIS packages that require sophisticated queries in SQL. Troubleshoot bugs and issues, and resolve them as needed e.. Mentor other team members in ASP.NET MVC3 Required Skills: a.. Deep knowledge of object-oriented design principles and must be proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, C#, JQuery, and MVC3 b.. Understanding of web services or WCF services c.. Experience with code versioning and repository systems, as well as clean-code principles d.. Knowledge and experience with web programming and database development using ASP.NET (framework 4), MVC using C#, HTML, JQuery, Ajax, and XML e.. Able to work in a fast-paced results oriented environment f.. Clear verbal and written communication skills g.. Candidates should have some formal education in computer science, software engineering, or computer programming. A four-year degree in computer science is preferred, but not required.
