Consultant – Datastage ETL Developer
*General Job Description*
The resource will provide support to develop the BI interface and required
changes.
*Job Skills Required:*
Five or more years’ experience of BI related experience in developing full
life-cycle implementations, support, and upgrades in the following:
o Experience with DataStage ETL tool, EDI files, FTP files data
transfers, *SFTP is preferred*.
- Relational database experience (SQL, tuning, optimizer, relational
concepts) Oracle specific and PL/SQL skills.
- Unix Shell Programming for scheduling, file manipulation etc.
- Candidate must possess demonstrated technical leadership capability.
- The candidate must have experience as a significant developer on at
least two data warehouse full life cycle implementation.
- Must be able to develop the detailed project plans and technical
specifications for ETL module design, development, testing, and
implementation.
- The candidate should have excellent knowledge in extraction,
cleansing, and modification of data from/to various data sources.
- Must be able to perform table and interface design, development of
logical and physical data model/database, ETL process, BI reporting/OLAP
cubes/OLAP reporting, and population and tuning of databases/ETL
processes/BI reports/queries while meeting business/user requirements.
- Strong knowledge in OLTP/OLAP systems, Normalized (OLTP), Demoralized
(DW and ODS) models, dimensional strategies, star schema and snow flake
schema.
- Must be able to verbally communicate business and technology concepts
and tops fluently in English.
- Must be able to write English documents that communicate complex
business and/or technology concepts in a clear, organized and concise
manner.
