This is intended to be an overarching role spanning the entire ETL SDLC. The ETL Solution Architect is the technical owner of the ETL application. Ø This role is physically located in the CTFS Oakville site. Travel to other offices is conducted based on project requirements. Ø The ETL Architect works closely with technical team members (CTC and the consulting services vendor). The ETL Solution Architect is expected to have a strong understanding of IBM DataStage and the Information Management application portfolio. This knowledge is required to create effective high level designs. The ETL solution Architect is expected to design optimized re-useable applications, which should anticipate future needs and expedite delivery. The ETL Solution Architect provides technical leadership to the project team and the ETL Delivery team. *ETL Architect Job Responsibilities* ETL Architect is accountable to; Ø Own, facilitate, integrate, and design the ETL applications. Ø Provide high level estimates and identify technical risk during the initial stages of the project, in conjunction with the development of the overall project plan Ø Participate in establishing the ETL component of the SBD (future state) Ø Collaborate on development of the STM to support ETL development Ø Develop ETL high level design document Ø Responsible for the introduction of the high level ETL design to the consulting services vendor. Collaborate with the ETL development team to ensure a solution that meets the business requirements. Provide oversight to the ETL development process. Ø Technical team lead for ETL development during construction, QAT, UAT, implementation and warranty phases Ø Primary Point of contact for the CTC technical/project teams (PM, ESP,BI, BA, DA, QA, Change Mgmt). Liaison to the consulting services vendor. Ø Provide assistance to production support as required. Ø Govern the delivery elements for the solution to ensure fit to design. *ETL Architect; Additional Contributions to ETL Delivery* Ø Establish and maintain standards for application components and provide direction to the development team to ensure compliance. Ø Educate and provide leadership to the Ness ETL Delivery Offshore teams to deliver solutions consistent with the CTC application architecture framework. Ø Work with the Ness ETL Delivery offshore team to review emerging ETL methodologies and technologies. *Skill sets* • IBM Datastage 8.1 / 9.1 • ESP Scheduler • Unix shell scripting , PL&SQL • Oracle / DB2 / Netezza *Position 2:* *DWH/BI Manager* Work Location : Oakville/Toronto, ON , Canada --- Oakville ( 3 days), Toronto (2 days) Duration : 12 Months+ Contract Rate : Market *Key responsibilities* 1. Client interfacing – will be Ness counterpart for Can Tire Service Delivery Mgr 2. Front ending Ness delivery and provide delivery oversight, guidance & alignment to all project development, delivery & support activities. 3. Governance & SLA mgmt Key Technical skills: Datastage, Cognos, Unix, Perl, Oracle, Netezza, enterprise scheduler (any) *Key experience* 1. 3+ experience in onsite mgr role collaborating with remote teams ( preferably India based) 2. 5+ yrs experience in DWH / BI delivery 3.
