*Cognos Impromptu Developer* *Location: Richmond, VA* *Duration:3+ months* *Iview Process: Phone* *MUST HAVES: Cognos Impromptu, Great Comm Skills* Markel has about 200 reports that pull data from their “Princeton Asset Management for Investments” or “PAM for Investments” system. The system uses Cognos Impromptu for reporting. Markel needs a resource that knows Cognos extremely well and can migrate reports from the old version of “PAM for Securities” to the new version of “PAM for Investments”. In addition to being a Cognos Impromptu expert, this person must also have some analyst skills. They will work directly with the users to help assess which reports and not needed, which ones can be combined, and generally understand the users reporting needs. Obviously great communication skills are key. *From the client:* I believe I mentioned previously we are migrating to a new version of our Investment Accounting system this year. The new version is referred to as PAM for Investments. As a part of that migration, we are having to re-write the reports we use for our monthly and quarterly close and management reporting. The report-writer we use is an IBM product called COGNOS Impromptu. Do you happen to have a database of staff throughout Vaco to see if you all have anyone with Impromptu experience who might be able to help us? We’ve found plenty of people who can code and are familiar with report-writing in general, but we’re looking with someone familiar with this particular software.
