Solutions Architect/Engineer Duration: 6-12 months. Don’t get too hung up on the architecture piece. Cable/Telecom experience is a must and this person should have supported some kind of business related application (billing, payments, order entry, order management, OSS, BSS). Good blend of technical and business skills. Scope: · Acts as the subject matter expert for the program and serves as the end to end system architecture authority within that scope. Responsible for solution design, impact assessment based on business requirement. · Work with component or system teams and come up with solution design, system roles and responsibilities for a particular project, system interaction diagrams, and system requirements. · Display ability to quickly understand newer systems, functions. Ability to use open source products to come up with prototyping as required. Develop proof of concepts as needed to check feasibility of adopting a solution. · Defines highly complex technology-based business solutions. Provides thought leadership regarding system design, architecture, and integration. Mentors and leads project teams in the appropriate use of technology. · Reviews and approves high risk design decisions prior to implementation. · Leads system design activities or reviews system designs to ensure that applications solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment. · Leads technology and product general assessments, detailed evaluations, and final selections. Educates and provides technical advice to management. · Leads system performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities. Coordinates and manages activities of multiple hardware and software vendors on large project engagement. · Represents Company in technology discussions with vendors. Must Have: · Telecom experience · BSS experience · “solution” and/or “blueprint” should appear on their resume · They should have done architecture for multiple systems in one solution.
