*Title:                     Java Backend Developer with Linux environment*

This role is with Amazon Financial Ledger and Account Systems (FLASH) team.
They call it "FLASH"



•You should be comfortable with scripting, proficient in the Unix
environment, and capable in SQL and RDBMS concepts.

•Experience with distributed transaction-processing systems or asynchronous
messaging technology is a must.

•A degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field with 5+ years of
experience.





*Prioritized skill set:*



1.       Solid *Java coding + testing for backend/service*

2.       Problem solving skill

3.       Linux/Unix commands; simple scripting

4.       Experience maintaining/operating/troubleshooting Java web service
production issues

5.       Clear communication

6.       Simple data structure

7.       ideally – some SQL knowledge

1. This role is with Amazon Financial Ledger and Account Systems (FLASH)
team. They call it "FLASH"

know that it's pretty rare to find someone who stayed at Amazon for this
long.

3. He has seen all the changes within the company, so he can answer any
questions you have about the team or Amazon.

4. He treats his contractors and full time employees equal. He makes sure
that all his contractors get proper training before they start
contributing. None of his contractors will expect to start contributing on
day one. He has converted most of his contractors to full time except those
who had visa issue or didn't want to convert. Every person that worked for
him ended his/her contract on good terms.

6. This person will be working on complex and challenging projects.

7.  His team doesn't do things just their way --they are definitely open to
new ideas.

8. Your contractor won't be working more than 40-45 hours, so make sure
they know this.

•Thorough understanding of enterprise information systems, service oriented
architectures, and operational data stores.

•Experience with distributed transaction-processing systems or asynchronous
messaging technology is a must.

•A degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field with 5+ years of
experience.
