*Position : *Automation Tester *Location : * Boston/MA *NEED LOCAL ONLY* *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* The Software Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for writing and executing manual and automated test cases, identifying defects, to ensure that developed products meet the design specifications and are within Technology Group standards. - Identifies test scenarios and writes test cases based on user story acceptance criteria. - Investigates and reports defects and related quality concerns effectively to team members, including: other SQEs, QA Manager, developers, project managers, product owners, and business analysts. - Understands and implements, at an individual level, software quality engineering best practices. - Analyzes and ensures requirements/User Story acceptance criteria are acceptable for test case creation. - Executes manual and automated test cases, as well as performs back end data validation. - Tracks test progress and results in test management tools like JIRA and Quality Center. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES* - Work with other project teams to identify dependencies - Able to research root causes around customer facing incidents - Organize, implement, and execute defined testing processes within the test team - Identify, recommend and implement mitigation strategies to keep project work on track - Monitor QA work and escalate issues when appropriate - Ensure user story, task, and defect statuses in JIRA and Quality Center are up to date - Validate defects and assist in triage of defects - Ensure integration testing is conducted as needed – set up meetings with other teams, discuss testing needs, ensure testing is done - Experience testing in Agile software development lifecycle - Intermediate experience or knowledge required in: HTML; XML; Java; JavaScript; SQL/TSQL(Includes DML/DDL/function commands), stored procedures, DB Tracing, DB profiling/SQL Profiler, impact analysis, DB sharding; AJAX, JSON, XPath - Understanding of Coding Fundamentals (variable declaration, program flow, functions, error handling, etc) - Understanding of automation of Web Services (SOAP, REST) - Familiarity with automated testing tools (Selenium Web Driver and Cucumber preferred) and ability to script automated test cases. - Experience using estimation practices related to task durations to meet schedules in an Agile software development environment - Strong PC skills including thorough knowledge of MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, Visio - Ability to learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technology field, including bringing any new ideas to the SQE department - Ability to think outside the box, adapt to circumstances, learn from co-workers, and share information and experiences - Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation - Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently - Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent leadership skills - Ability to make timely and sound decisions - Detail oriented - Ability to work independently and mostly in a team based environment - Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment - Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situations - Must be self-motivated *Deepak Gulia *| Simplion – cloud*.* made simple Direct: 408-516-4015 | Fax: 408-935-8696 | Email: deepak.gu...@simplion.com *GTALK :- deepakgulia.rgtal...@gmail.com <deepakgulia.rgtal...@gmail.com>* *INC 500 *|* 5000* Honoree – 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 *Fast Private Companies* award by Silicon Valley Business Journal – 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 *Best Places to Work in Bay Area *by San Francisco Business Times – 2013, 2012, 2011, 2009 *Minority Business Enterprise *certified by NMSDC *We are an E-Verified Company* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP-UK" group.
