*Position : Lead Business Analyst* *Location : Rosemont, IL* *Duration : 6+ Months Interview : Phone / Skype (Face to Face if Locals)* *Experience in a food, CPG or foodservice systems environment.* *Prior experience with supply chain applications including warehouse, ordering and purchasing systems.* *Job Description* · The Business Analyst will drive the definition and documentation of business requirements for Sales and Merchandising projects, and will translate business requirements into design documents and other deliverables. · This role will facilitate documentation and management of all Product Backlog User Story definition. · The Business Analyst will assist the Project Manager/Scrum Master in driving the change management protocol for user story grooming exercises. *Job Requirement* • Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline or demonstrated equivalent industry experience. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT business analyst role. • Strong group facilitation skills. • Good written & verbal communication skills. • Familiarity with project management concepts & tools (Agile and waterfall). • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of Business and IT management. • Ability to negotiate acceptable solutions to complex problems across multiple business and/or technical areas and vendors. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously. • Prior experience with modeling languages (UML or BPMN) for representation of use-cases and business requirements and HP Quality Center for QA & testing • Familiarity with business process modeling tools (i.e. ARIS, webMethods). *Job Responsibilities* • Owns business contribution to the Team Charter; dependencies, impact areas, background. • Provides performance feedback to business analysts • Facilitate discussion between the product owner and the technical team to drive definition and implementation of business requirements. • Facilitates project team in development and refinement of User Stories • Facilitates documentation and management of a project’s Product Backlog • Facilitates communication and understanding across the project team. • Collaborates with the Product Owner to develop feature based business requirements (Product Features and User Stories) to continuously deliver business value. • Provides understanding of software architecture concepts to help bridge the gap between developers and the business and demonstrate how features will be implemented in the resulting system. • Provides value to the project team by helping the team coalesce around the project and sprint iteration objectives, understanding the requirements at a lower level of detail, and bringing the team together to deliver an acceptable outcome. • Where necessary, fill the role of a customer proxy; understand the needs of the customer and translate those needs to the development team. • Facilitates workshops to document As Is and To Be work process flows • Develops training approach with business. *Preferred Qualifications:* • IIBA Certification. • Experience with JIRA developing backlog and issue logs. • Experience in a *food, CPG or foodservice *systems environment. • Prior experience with supply chain applications including warehouse, ordering and purchasing systems. • Prior experience with *Master Data Management (MDM*) or Product Information Management (PIM) applications. • Prior experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool such as *Agile PLM* for Process, DE vex, or Optima.
