I have following requirement, please reply me back with profile along with rate expectation *EAD, GC-EAD, GC, USC ONLY* *Position: Linux/Windows / VMware Systems administrator * *Client: NYC investment bank * *Duration: (6-12 month contract)* *Location :NYC, NY* *Must be strong with both Linux and Windows* System Administrator to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience in deploy and provide day to day support of complex Linux/Unix and Windows environments. Responsibilities: • Ensure system up-time and performance through monitoring, proactive support, maintenance, and utilization of best practices. Review and analyze data including trending and core metrics to propose change recommendations to meet business needs. • Performs basic Windows and Linux/Unix system administration, troubleshooting, break/fix scenarios, maintaining backups, monitoring, Operating System (OS) installation and configuration, etc. • Writes administrative scripts (bash/sh, Visual Basic (VB), Batch, and PowerShell). • Works with general Microsoft stack products. Active Directory, .Net applications, Backup, Provisioning, and others. • Works with RedHat Linux OS and tools. • Perform User and business unit day-to-day support for application and image issues. • Lead deployment of software/hardware updates; oversee workstation deployments, and deliver workstation imaging services; • Maintain a hardware independent imaging strategy to rapidly deploy and/or restore desktop environments; • Building and maintaining desktop and server images, producing and employing Group Policy Objects to manage the environment, and deploying images and applications using multiple methodologies, including SCCM, • Package, test and deploy Application packages via SCCM, providing deployment status reports through SCOM as requested • Documentation and maintenance of system and network information, including software inventory. • Work with the Systems Administration team to manage the design, implementation and support of the desktop environment; Required Technical and Professional Expertise: • At least 3 years of experience in Linux administration. • At least 3 years of experience in Windows administration. • At least 1 year of experience in VMware/virtualization. • At least 3 year of experience in Bash and Powershell. • Basic Knowledge in Networking and security fundamentals. • Basic Knowledge in Backup and Storage Architecture. • Basic knowledge of SCCM and SCOM – Big plus. • Application level knowledge on multiple platforms • Knowledge of Apache and/or IIS (Internet Information Server). • Required Education – Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or related) • Preferred Technical and Professional Experience *Thanks & Regards * *Geetika Rajpoot**||Sr. Technical Recruiter* *Source Infotech Inc.* *[email protected]* <[email protected]>* ||**Phone: 609-945-0706* *Hangout ID :* *[email protected]* <[email protected]> *Gmail:* *[email protected]* <[email protected]> *Yahoo Id:* *[email protected]* <[email protected]> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP-UK" group.
