Please do let me know if you have suitable candidate for this position *Position:* QA Analyst *Location: *Des Moines, Iowa *Duration: *6+ Months Contract *Rate:* $43/hr C2C *Phone then F2F* *POSITION SUMMARY* The Quality Assurance Analyst IV, under general supervision, is responsible for ensuring quality deliverables. The QA Analyst will work with a mentor or higher-level Analyst to create Master Test Plans and Integration Test Plans. The QA Analyst will evaluate and test new or modified software programs to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. Write, revise, and verify test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently. Engage in project throughout the life cycle to enforce high quality standards during each step of the project life cycle. *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES* - Possess a thorough understanding of the physical and electrical communications interfaces to the system (including all network services communications equipment), and of the software application and communications formats · Possess thorough understanding of TCP/PPP/FTP protocols and how services are deployed and function using these services; Maintain knowledge of IP routing and Subnet masks · Research software/hardware tools to improve Quality Assurance · Possess thorough understanding of existing quality assurance tools and uses these tools to the full reasonable extent of their capabilities · Participate in reviews by peer developers to ensure technical reviews are effective · Read, review and understand requirement and technical design documentation for assigned projects to ensure quality implementation · Track defects from the beginning of the project through the end of the project · Understand unit testing and ensure the testing is documented · Under general supervision, coordinate System Testing and ensure that through execution of software has been achieved · Under general supervision, develops measurable criteria that are used to determine whether the software is ready to be released to production · Under general supervision, responsible for working with development on integration testing by exercising newly developed code in combination with existing code; Drive integration testing with a sense of urgency to ensure timely delivery · Under general supervision, write/revise test cases/scripts for assigned projects · With assistance of a mentor or higher level Analyst, create a Master Test Plan and Integration Test Plan for all assigned projects to ensure quality implementation · With assistance of a mentor or higher level Analyst, plan Quality Assurance activities throughout project lifecycle; Attend all project meetings · With the assistance of a mentor or higher level Analyst, create and maintain test data and QA test environments · In conjunction with BU, Development and QA resources, develops measurable criteria that are used to determine whether the software is ready to be released · Possess expert knowledge of the company’s ISO 8583 message formats and standards used for processor interfaces to the network; Assist in maintaining test procedures and scripts for processor testing and perform tests to ensure complete and accurate testing of processor interfaces for message and protocol standards · Possess expert knowledge of the ISO 8583 message formats and standards used by other EFT networks with which the company has connections; Assist in maintaining test procedures for interface testing with other EFT networks and perform tests to ensure complete and accurate testing of interfaces to specifications from each network · Possess expert knowledge of all protocols used by terminals connecting to the network; Ensure configuration documentation is created and maintained for all terminals that are certified; Assist in maintaining test procedures and scripts for terminal testing and perform tests to ensure complete and accurate testing of terminals to Operating Rule requirements and protocol standards · Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with company policies and departmental procedures to achieve the overall objectives of the position and perform related duties as required · Maintain regular and consistent attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion · Be knowledgeable of interfaces to the enterprise system, including data/telecommunications, application message formats, and the sequence of all switch functions · While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties from particular jobs and to assign other duties as necessary *ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS* *Education:* This position requires a high school diploma or higher degree, or equivalent experience; Demonstrated successful QA experience within a highly complex software development environment *Skills: *Problem solving aptitude and excellent communication skills; Ability to communicate when quality lacks, promoting accountability;
