Please do let me know if you have any suitable profile for this position *Position:* VMware Engineer *Location: *Houston, TX *Duration: *12+ Months Contract *Phone hire* Currently looking for a suitable candidate for the Virtualization Platform Reliability Engineer position. Suitable candidate will have experience in designing, implementing and supporting production grade large-scale globally distributed systems. You will be a key member of the global platform team that has the responsibility of uptime, reliability, scalability and performance of the platform. You should have an expert level understanding of the hypervisor internals and skills to troubleshoot complex system, networking & security problems within the platform ecosystem. *Responsibilities: * • Assist in infrastructure design, deployment, and support of the internal VMWare environment running in a variety of datacenters and locations throughout the world • Ensure reliable operations by defining and applying proactive monitoring and configuration management best-practices • Review and implement periodic security patching of all VMware products, including vCenter, ESX • Perform proactive analysis of issues and capacity management to ensure continued uptime and supportability of our enterprise virtualization platform • Perform diligent troubleshooting of complex problems across multiple hardware and virtualization components, and arrive at expeditious solutions as quickly as possible to prevent extended downtime • Appropriately plan, document, and follow change management processes for environment configurations, while also maintaining up-to-date documentation for the complete environment and support procedures • Ability to create scripts to automate repeated tasks using PowerShell or Korn Shell or any other scripting tool is highly desired • Perform daily health check and review of the environment for potential issues *Required Skills:* • Proficiency with all aspects of VMWare • Proficiency with creating/managing ESXi clusters VMware Certifications a Big Plus *Thanks,* *Satyendra* *949-201-4822 *201 * *[email protected]* <[email protected]> *[image: cid:288F3ECB-299B-400D-80D3-20F4925B9DD1] * *18100 Von Karman Avenue, Suite 850, Irvine, 92612* [image: cid:005D9ED9-74E6-476A-998C-47EDA68B8DC8] *DISCLAIMER:* This message and any attachments are solely for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged or confidential.
