*Title: Linux System Admin* *Location: Burlingame, CA* *Duration: 3-6 months* *Need USC / GC Only * *Responsibilities & duties* • Senior-level systems administration functions for *RHEL4 & CentOS Linux* • Maintaining core systems on the Linux platform including Mail, DNS, Proxy, Radius and Load Balancers • Establishing and managing development environments for IT software developers, including creation of environments and installation of software • Establishing and monitoring backup and recovery systems • Rapidly scale systems to meet demand • Monitor system stability and performance • Configure system and network parameters • 4+years’ experience in a 24/7 datacenter environment *Professional experience & skills required* • 5+ years’ experience of building, managing, and responding to monitoring systems measuring critical system performance • 3+ years of experience with Perl or shell scripting • 2+ years of automation experience with Puppet • 3+ years’ experience building and managing load-balanced web server clusters with Apache & MySQL • 3+ years’ experience with backup and recovery at an enterprise-level, including tar, afio, ssh, and scp, and enterprise products like CommVault • 3+ years of virtualization experience with VMWare products • Advanced System Security knowledge.
