*Location :* CA-Pleasanton-4460 Hacienda Drive, Bldg D-94588(Alameda) *Duration :* 6 months *Description :* ETL (DW) Business Analyst/Tester Sound knowledge and experience in Cognos, Oracle, Teradata, and Mainframe systems. As a Business Analyst/Tester you will perform requirement gathering and analysis, data analysis, data mapping, functional design, quality assurance/Testing and documentation for Data Warehousing and other ETL related projects. The individual will be working closely with ETL Leads/Managers. *Responsibilities: *Primary responsibilities include: Perform requirement gathering and analysis of applications and their business processes. Performs analysis that is diverse and very complex and works independently under general direction (i.e. writing queries). Perform Data Analysis and develop Data Mapping documents for ETL projects. Contribute to the analysis of data requirements and development of logical data models. Good understanding on testing principles and concepts. Develops test scenarios and scripts that match the business user!|s objectives to confirm system functions are met. Participates in designs and development of test cases. Develops test strategies and approaches that align with business users. Works with IT Development to ensure feasibility of design and clarify user requirements. Develop and execute testing related activities, including test plans, test case or results analysis; coordination of testing activities, diagnosis of application or process deficiencies and/or problems. Ensure appropriate regression testing between impacted systems. Work with users to ensure user acceptance testing criteria and standards are met. *Qualifications: * Typically requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Highly desirable to have demonstrated experience in Data Analysis, mapping and Testing. Strong knowledge and experience in Data Warehousing (ETL, Data Analysis, etc) concepts. Strong intuitive and analytical problem solving skills. Good understanding on testing principles, concepts and tools. Advanced working knowledge of Testing, Business Analysis techniques and tools. Proficient at Designing and Developing Testing Procedures Should have ability to write and execute complex SQL Statements (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server) in support of testing activities. Expertise with Defect Management Tools preferably Mercury Tools.
