2nd shift (4:00 pm- 12:30 am) and weekend (F-M)

HP UX/SUN skills to support to a highly available 24x7 Unix Enterprise
environment and requires hands on experience with the following:

THIS IS A LEVEL-II POSITION REQUIRING STRONG EXPERIENCE IN

TROUBLESHOOTING PRODUCTION SUPPORT ISSUES

·         Experience in SUN or HP UNIX administration in a large enterprise
setting.

·         Experience in one or more scripting languages

·         Experience working with help desk ticketing applications such as
Remedy

·         Experience supporting business continuity and disaster recovery
processes

·         Experience using Solaris 10 with Zones desired

·         Experience with SAN or NAS desired

     ·         Experience supporting Windows 2003 Server.

·         Experience with Tier 1 troubleshooting of Active Directory.

·         Experience with Tier 1 troubleshooting of Novell Netware is highly
desired.

·         Experience with Linux or other UNIX support is desired.

·         Experience with Veritas Netbackup or Arcserve or both.



*SAN/NAS Storage/ Backup Administrator*



*Responsibilities/Duties include:*

   - Diagnose and analyze system and storage related issues and recommend
   appropriate solutions based on knowledge of the appropriate systems and
   systems software.
   - Provide application support and communicate periodically with users on
   systems status, including system changes, problems, enhancements, and
   potential impacts.
   - Perform planning and troubleshooting for Netbackup infrastructure.
   - Support enterprise Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached
   Storage (NAS), and Tape Backup/Restore technology in a mission critical
   environment.
   - Support UNIX and Wintel admins day to day and team with data center
   operations, production support and escalation teams.



*Experience and skills required includes:*

   - Demonstrated experience supporting Veritas Netbackup Version 5.1 or
   newer, including troubleshooting and tape management.
   - Demonstrated experience with creation, deletion, and maintenance of the
   following: Netbackup Policies, Netbackup Storage Units, Netbackup Vaulting.
   - Knowledge of Enterprise Tape Library Virtualization, Library Interfaces
   GUIs, Enterprise Libraries in general, and LTO-X technologies preferred.
   - Experience performing 1st, 2nd & 3rd level 24x7 production support on
   system administration, storage, or tape backup environments.
   - Experience performing 24x7 production support.
   - Capable of developing and implementing small to medium sized technology
   projects in support of business initiatives.
   - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
   - Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business
   relationship with both internal associates and external customers.
   - Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, teaming with
   data center operations, production support, and escalation teams.
   - Bachelor's Degree in CIS, MIS, or a related field preferred.

   - Written and oral communication skills
   - Technology presentation skills
