Location: Olympia, WA Duration:7+ months Requirement: Supervises the utilization of Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location. Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of mappers and drafters working on GIS projects. Prepares, provides, and updates maps and data sets to clients. Knowledgeable of GIS software and technology. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. *Responsibilities* • GIS programmer (expertise: geospatial applications development) for application development projects. • Programmer will work with a team of senior leads and be responsible for Architecture, design and code implementation. • Requires experience with software development projects in some combination of ArcGIS, ArcObjects, ArcGIS Server. Experience with WPF and WCF is very much Desired(but not a must). • Requires at least 2-4 yrs of software development experience in C#, Java, c and/or VB. • Experience with Oracle/Oracle Spatial, SDE, ADF, environmental programs, web software development and web services a plus.
