Thanks for the help. *Siebel Configurator/ Developer* Location: Kansas City Duration: 3-6 Months Contract Rate:Open Scope of Work The Senior Configurator is responsible for successful delivery of Siebel their assigned tasks. This individual will report to the Technical Lead and will assist in provide ongoing knowledge capital sharing for Siebel 8.0 applications. They will provide hands-on development, configuration and scripting expertise. The Senior Configurator will also be heavily involved in development and documentation related activities.. This is a hands-on technical role and requires deep Siebel development knowledge and experience. Position Description: The Senior Configurator interfaces with project management team, assists with detailed technical design, supports the team with technical issue resolution, observes development standards, assists with peer reviews, and develops documentation. He/she ensures that they are making progress and are on track by accurately managing their development tasks as outlined in the project plan. Fully versed in Siebel 7.8/8.0 and related development technologies. Responsibilities: § Creates detailed and documented design, development, deployment and testing initiatives; uses appropriate tools and metrics to gauge the effectiveness of these efforts to assist with tactical and strategic directional changes § Obtains requirements from the project management team and translates them into working programs/processes to meet long-term business objectives. § Assists with the design of complex solutions. Required Skills: § Experience with and a thorough understanding of Siebel 7.8 & 8.0 configuration and scripting. § Hands-on experience in implementing Siebel. § Background in a technical development environment and solid working knowledge of relational databases (i.e., Oracle, SQL Server), operating systems (i.e., NT, UNIX), and hardware platforms. § Knowledge of core functional areas of Siebel: Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Activities. § Extensive familiarity with Siebel Tools and the Siebel object hierarchy to include but not limited to: Applet, View, Application Configuration, Business Component, Business Object, Links, and Joins Configuration. § Extensive knowledge of Siebel Workflow and State Model functionality. § Extensive knowledge of User Properties and configuration techniques to minimize scripting. § Deep knowledge of Siebel's eScript capabilities, including the ability to write complex level scripts where needed. § Knowledge of Siebel's Configuration, Scripting and Workflow best practices § Broad knowledge of Siebel's Data Model. § Data Validation Modeling and Mapping experience. § Ability to use troubleshooting techniques to identify root cause of problems.
