*Interface Designer/Human Factors Specialist*: Provide User-Centered Design
support to project teams within SSA. This includes the ability to derive
business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition,
design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing.
* *
*Required*:
- Bachelors degree in Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors Engineering,
Visual Design, Instructional Systems Design, IFSM, or similar.
- Direct Interaction/Interface design experience of* 4 years for CSAP
*to include User-Centered Methods and User Analysis
- Experience is eliciting business goals and user needs.
- Experience creating Personas and Scenarios of Use.
- Experience in creating and refining screen prototypes
- Experience designing and conducting formative and summative
usability tests in both formal and informal settings
- Ability to document user requirements, screen designs, and design
recommendations
- Understanding of Requirements Definition process
- Ability to prepare and present findings and recommendations in large
and small group settings
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal skills
*Additional* desired skills include:
- Direct experience with consulting to Federal agencies.
- Thorough understanding of iterative software development methods
- Experience with contextual inquiry methods.
- Experience with Section 508 compliance
