The Level IV Server Engineer installs, maintains and troubleshoots server software, hardware and related infrastructure. *Essential Functions**:* · Responsible for assisting in day to day administration of the Windows Server environment · Maintains and supports JetBlue's Windows networking infrastructure including Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and others · Conducts in depth evaluations, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of complex technical issues · Providing mentoring, training and technical support on new technologies and complex issues Assisting and advising clients on identifying, planning and implementing complex systems that meet business needs · Leading teams and provides work guidance in planning, designing, and implementing complex systems · Research, evaluate, test, recommend and implement new technologies · Develop server standards, policies, and procedures regarding design and implementation of hardware, software, and systems · Manage significant system upgrades, enhancements, migrations, server downtime, integration and releases of new software to QA, production and disaster recovery environments and resolve any technical and/or business issues · Resolve, coordinate and escalated back-up / recovery support problems · Monitors servers and addresses daily server issues · Must be able to provide 24hr, 7 day a week on-call support at scheduled times · On-call responsibilities require a 5 minute response time · Ability to have computer access within 20 minutes. · Ability to be on site as requested for support. · On-Call support requires Engineer to carry a working business cell phone or provide an alternate phone contact at all times. *Minimum Qualifications**:* -High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required -Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred -MCSE certification or equivalent preferred - Eight plus (8+) years experience building and administering Windows servers - Eight plus (8+) years experience with Microsoft networking including TCP/IP - Eight plus (8+) years experience with the hardware aspect of building Intel-Based servers - *Eight plus (8+) years experience configuring and advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft Internet Information Server* - Eight plus (8+) years working in an enterprise web server farm environment - Three plus (3+) years experience deploying, configuring and troubleshooting web server technologies such as* .NET 1.1, 2.0, XML, MSMQ, and SOA web services* - Two plus (2+) years experience working with network load balancers such as Citrix NetScaler, Cisco Content Switches or BigIP/ F5 - Two plus (2+) years experience configuring and troubleshooting Sharepoint Server - Some *experience configuring and troubleshooting Perl and CGI on IIS* - Some experience with Linux/Unix -VBScript, Shell, PowerShell scripting -Experience with MS-SQL databases and Active Directory -Regular attendance and punctuality -Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion -Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance -Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test -Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located -When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:* *Server Engineer – Specific Competencies* -Knowledge of Microsoft server hardware, administration and implementation -Knowledge of Microsoft networking applications, networking protocols, routers and firewalls *Engineer Level – Core Competencies* -Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft technologies preferred) -Knowledge of JetBlue's business units and how their needs drive IT work -Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision -Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Ability to work in a high-pressure environment -Ability to rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary -Effective time management and prioritization skills -Positive, upbeat energy and strong team player -Strong interpersonal skills -Excellent problem solving and structured thinking skills -Flexibility, agility and change management skills -- Regards, Anand Bandarupally Ling Technologies, Inc.
