The Web Developer designs, develops, and implements software packages for
web sites and troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code.
*Responsibilities *
• Implement user interface designs from UI specification and product
requirements
• Collaborate with Human Factors Engineers and other related disciplines in
the creation of User Interface designs
• Translate designs into XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript with attention to
cross-browser compatibility and WCAG/Section 508 accessibility guidelines
• Assist software engineers with implementation of client-side code in a
multi-tiered environment
*Qualifications *
• A degree in a technical subject or 4+ years experience in the web
development field
• Expert level CSS and XHTML capabilities required
• Experience with table-less layouts ('zen garden') required
• A high level of proficiency with JavaScript, and DOM scripting required
• Experience integrating front-end code with one or more server-side
languages
• Knowledge of JSP and XSLT
• Experience in working with off-shore engineering resources (non-US) is a
plus
• Knowledge of web technologies such as application and web servers, .NET,
etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives.
• Innovative, creative problem solver with an eye for detail and accuracy.
*• Experience with SiteCore Content Management System is a big plus.*
