Sun OS exposure is a plus. JOB DESCRIPTION: -Provides senior-level technical support for all requirements in the planning, coordination, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to Unix operating system environment, transaction monitors, and the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production environments relating to client's Unix computing environment. -Ensures stable performance for the UNIX environment through performance monitoring and tuning. Performs workload modeling, and prediction. -Ensures systems maintenance of UNIX and all its related systems. -Provides senior-level support for the UNIX environment. -Provide senior level technical support to database administrators, developers, and project managers. -Instruct and help develop less-seasoned systems administrators and other technical staff when appropriate. -Monitor multiple project priorities and provide technical and administrative supervision.
