Sr. Cognos BI Admin Location: FL Duration: 6 Mon Rate: $43/hr Position Summary The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of the Cognos environments. Additionally, providing application expertise and consulting/mentoring to development teams and report authors. Required Skills: * 5 - 7 years minimum general application development experience, 2 - 3 years minimum of BI experience preferred. * Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or MIS required. * Working knowledge of SQL and ability to use it within an enterprise tool (i.e.: SQL Navigator, SQL+) along with complex data relationships. * Advanced business acumen and analytical abilities to translate business requirements into functionality within the Cognos suite. * Experienced team player. * Excellent oral and written communication skills required. * Goal-oriented attitude, strong work ethic and demeanor to work through roadblocks, motivate external concerns and bring about resolution. * Proven ability to work under pressure of time constraints and to prioritize assignments as necessary. * Proven ability to work effectively and provide support within a technical team. * Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and execute a BI project.
