Consultants should have State Govt. experience… Position: Java Developer Location: Albany, NY Duration: 24 Months Rate: Open Consultant will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing Web applications modifying existing programs, developing new programs and implementing web based applications. Mandatory Requirements: 1. Design, develop, and test web-based J2EE application in a 3-tier computing environment. 2. Adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. 3. Ensure all modules are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. 4. Understand and comply with the SDLC methodology in all planning, designing and development steps. 5. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues. 6. Translate the technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance the software application modules. 7. Strong Java, JSP, Servlet and XML development skills. 8. 5 or more years experience in web-based application development. 9. Experience developing Web front-ends, using HTML, DHTML, Javascript and CSS. 10. Experience with SQL Server database. 11. Experience in Linux/Unix Servers, Unix Scripting and use of Apache Tomcat application server. 12. Assess available technologies and develop and implement solutions. Desirable Experience: 1. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails (ROR) preferred 2. Familiarity with JMS & Websphere 3. Familiarity with Documentum 4. Familiarity with designing/developing eCommerce applications 5.
