Project Location:- NOVATO, CA OR SUNNYVALE, CA Duration:- CTH *Job Description:- * Minimum of 8-10 years technical experience working on development of n-tier systems based on distributed application architectures using Java/J2EE and object-oriented design. Should have worked in Insurance Industry, implemented Enterprise level Solution Design- SOA based application, good understanding of J2EE design patterns. *High level of competency in the following areas:* Servlets, JSP, XML, and HTML WebSphere Message Broker Relational databases - preferably DB2 and SQL Server Application servers and servlet containers – WebSphere Application Server,Tomcat, JRun, WebLogic, and JBoss *Practical experience in the following areas:* Enterprise level Application Design, Solution. Clearcase / Anthill Pro based checkin/checkout of files. Unit testing concepts and all phases of the software development life cycle Designing, developing, and deploying new ACORD based applications Optimizing and performance tuning, providing performance improvement measures for Agency Port Applications working closely with Workflow team. Implementations using “Agile methodology”. *Demonstrated abilities:* Technical Solution Capabilities for Java/J2EE Front end Insurance Applications/ Portals at Enterprise level. Taking ownership for producing Solution Design. Working with Insurance P&C Biz Team, understanding the requirements, ability to articulate Design challenges, solution overview walkthrough to Enterprise Architecture Team. Good problem solving and analytical skills. Expressing oneself and communicating effectively with others verbally.
