BA/BS degree and related industry experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work
with the business users is an absolute must
• Knowledge of the Managed Markets business area is required
• Technical and team leadership experience is required
• Experience leading off-shore team is a plus
• Strong hands-on experience in utilizing the following MSTR 8 products:
Desktop, Intelligent Server, Web, Object Manager
• Ability to administer the Microstrategy environments and tune performance
• Ability to develop / modify solution architecture
• Knowledge of IMS data is a strong plus
• Full application development life-cycle experience - including requirement
gathering, data analysis, design, development, testing and systems
implementation.
• Working knowledge of Oracle database design and programming conventions
• Working knowledge of Unix commands and scripting
• Job related experience of 7-10 years with in-depth knowledge of applied
skills
• Pharma Experience is must
*Primary Duties & Responsibilities*
The candidate is responsible for handling day-to-day operation support
independently and providing technical direction to the off-shore resources.
The candidate interfaces directly with Headquarter business users to assist
in developing Microstrategy objects. The candidate interfaces with the
Field business users to provide technical support in utilizing the reporting
application.
*Responsibilities Include:
*• Serve as technical leader and mentor to the off-shore team
• Communicate business user requirements and provide clarifications as
needed
• Oversee off-shore efforts
• Screen solutions developed off-shore to ensure compliance with
specifications and quality of testing
• Provide production support of MicroStrategy reporting application,
including:
• Troubleshoot MicroStrategy application issues
• Enhance MicroStrategy reporting application as required
• Design, build, and maintain all MicroStrategy schema objects (attributes,
facts, hierarchies)
• Perform code review and unit, system, regression testing
• Perform monthly data validations
• Administer the Microstrategy environments and tune performance as
necessary
• Perform Microstrategy software upgrades
• Work with Headquarters business users during requirements definition to
evaluate requirements feasibility and offer solution options based on
technical subject matter expertise and business knowledge of the Managed
Markets area
• Respond to business users inquires directly to provide technical support
and best-practice report consulting
• Route Field business user requests to the Headquarter business support
team when appropriate
• Deliver technical project related documentation.
• Develop and conduct MicroStrategy training for both technical and business
users.
