The resource in this position will be responsible for analyzing assigned specifications, planning, designing and developing solutions, utilizing appropriate Internet/Intranet/Extranet architecture processes supporting a wide range of business process. Provide appropriate documentation for object design decisions, estimating assumptions, applets and performance metrics – as required by organization architecture process standards, or as assigned. Place of work: Baltimore MD Duration of Contract: 1 year (option for 1 year renewal) Citizenship Status: Authorized US Worker Rate: No rate information given General Skills: • Education - BS or MS in computer science or information systems. • Verifiable Training/Certifications in: o Informatica Data Integration Certification, or documented equivalent o ETLs process design, development, and performance tuning o Data modeling using ERD and dimensional models for highly conformed data marts, relational operational data stores, and star-schemas. Knowledge of Kimball, Hybrid, and Inmon approaches to data warehouses design o Basic Oracle DBA skills with and ability to define indexes, create and edit tables, monitor Oracle performance o Basic Informatica 8.x system administrator skills and training o Data warehouse and highly-conformed data mart design and development • General Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years development experience using Informatica creating ELT and data quality programs, and developing data warehouse structures. • General Industry Experience: K-12 or Higher Education industry data warehousing experience preferred. • Communication Skills: Fluent in speaking and writing English.
