POISITION: SENIOR JAVA WEB DEVELOPER
Location: Sacramento, CA Duration: 3-6 months Start: ASAP Rate: 50-55/hr Details: The Senior Web Developer is a technical leader within a development team, providing mentorship and guidance to other web developers. Candidate will be responsible for designing and building components of scalable, secure applications. The Senior Web Services Developer is self-directed and able to design and construct systems with little or no technical guidance. The T-3 systems will be primarily JEE-based. A Web Services Developer will be responsible for implementing the business requirements for the system. The services will be exposed for use by the other systems via web services/ESB. REQUIRED SKILLS: * Design, implement and test business services for consumption by other applications. Document design ideas. * Lead or participate in system interface design in co-ordination with the systems analyst. * Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements and development of code reviews and technical designs/specifications. * Develop use cases, static and dynamic object models that document requirements and designs of applications where applicable. * Ensure cleanliness and optimization of Java code. * Minimum five years experience in software development of complex systems. * Minimum four years experience with JEE * Experience with JAX-WS, JAXB, Hibernate and Spring preferred. * Experience with the Web Service specifications, including WS-Security preferred. * Experience with WebLogic, Oracle and SQL preferred. * Experience with XML/XSL, Maven, Subversion and Junit preferred. * Familiarity with and experience applying Design Patterns. * Healthcare application development experience is a plus. Other Responsibilities include: * Ability to provide accurate work estimates and deliver projects on schedule. * Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Willingness to mentor, and have strong analytical and technical documentation skills. * Knowledge of UML.
